Discover Your Ministry in the World

God calls all baptized Christians to exercise a ministry in the world. Figuring out what our God-given gifts and skills might be, and how to use them for God’s glory, is a life-long discernment process. Indeed, discerning a call to ministry is a sacred and often surprising journey.

You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You only need to be open to the journey of faith that Jesus invites us into as his disciples.
We would be honoured to walk it with you.

At St. Andrew’s Hall, we walk alongside people who are exploring how God may be inviting them to serve—whether through ordained ministry, chaplaincy, missional leadership, social justice outreach, or vibrant lay leadership within the life of the church. Some come with a long‑held sense of call; others arrive with questions, curiosity, or a desire to understand how their gifts might be used for God’s work in the world.

Rooted in the life of the Presbyterian Church in Canada and shaped by our commitment to thoughtful Christian formation, St. Andrew’s Hall provides a supportive environment for prayerful discernment. Through community life, mentoring, theological study, and practical ministry experiences, we help emerging leaders listen for God’s voice, recognize their strengths, and imagine the many ways ministry can be expressed in today’s changing world.
If you are wondering how God might be calling you into ministry—or if you simply want to explore the possibilities—we would be delighted to speak with you.

Dr. Ross Lockhart, Dean, and Rev. Rebecca Simpson, Assistant Dean, are available to meet, answer questions, and help you take the next faithful step in your discernment.
